my ( late ) father donated £5000 towards their hall fund. the hall was later sold and the cong merged with another.
he also donated £100 a month out of his pension. when i took over all his financial affairs that was the first thing i stopped.
i watch a video on youtube .

what do you think there hiding?.
why won't legal department simply release all the secret pedophile files?
its to protect jehovah's holy name--of course. duh.
as if he cant do it himself.
has anyone ever successfully annulled their jw baptism?
especially if they were very young when baptised?.
no need to--its just a silly bit of nonsense that has no relevance in the real world.
although i'm sure i would qualify---as if i could give a damn.
taking a walk down memory lane at those looooonnnnngg, tedious conventions... .
(boy, they weren’t kidding when they spoke about being long-suffering and having endurance!).
but what were some of your convention highlights, or lowlights, from back in the day?.
the old Wembley stadium--London UK--about 69 / 70. non stop rain. jam packed foot walks sitting in the open air in the rain. singing kingdom songs. sheer misery.
i vowed never to attend a bid assembly ever again.
i kept my promise.
i dont know if it's due to the last convention, the recent broadcasts, the internet or just plain fatigue - but since the convention i've had a few people contact me via facebook messenger asking how i am then cutting to the chase asking me what it's like "on the outside" or "how did you adjust after leaving?
" and asking me how they can leave the wt but keep their families.. my reply is always the same, i show real genuine interest and concern and listen to their situation.
then i suggest a fade, how to fade, to ignore or reject elders visits, to not talk about their doubts to active jws under any circumstances and finally point them to this site.
@pale emperor---do you mention this site to them ? or do you think this place is a bit too scary for potential escapees ?
it must be pointed out in favour of christendoms religions that they do not discriminate against people regarding their religious beliefs.
many old age jehovah`s witnesses are residents of christendoms age care homes.. isn`t this a conunudrum ?
they, jw`s condemn christendom as part of the world empire of false religion and they cast off their old faithful members to their enemy christendom , to look after them without lifting a finger themselves.. in the meantime they are raking in millions of dollars $$$$ in selling off real estate properties in new york and elsewhere around the world.
my old dad --jw the last 50+ years...spent his last 3 years in a care home. the staff were truly lovely to him--real carers. i visited every other day-----or every day towards the end. elders visited him for the first year or so--but that tailed off when they knew i was on the scene. his own jw grand daughter--my daughter--age 46-- never visited him once. she lived less than a mile away.
funiest nonsense was a woman jw who came into the home--a mobile hairdresser. she trimmed dads hair--and i paid her....but she never spoke to me. ha ha. took my money though.....

n the Uk there are a lot of JW's who thought they'd be in paradise by now and who are living in Jah-Jireh homes set up by brothers who received not a jot of help from the WTCorp.
Mind you, they generally pay for this care at normal industry rates but at least they can sit in their urine stained chairs chanting "new" kingdom songs while watching Herd flash his Rolex on JWTV.
And probably getting the fees paid by the local authority...tax payers money...even though many paid little or no tax in their lives..whilst pioneering.
most people know that jehovah's witnesses began as a publishing company promoting a restorationist type christianity.
people who were followers were called bible students.
but when, exactly, did it change from a "movement" to a "religion"?
oh no--dont tell me it became a religion ?? i fondly remember it as an organisation. a society.
next you will be telling me they worship god. whatever next ?
this is my first post and hopefully i can get some advice and input.
i have been actively involved with the organization for a little over 10 years now.
i began studying in high school, got baptized and my family fortunately did not.
hi Splane--welcome to the site. ( where have i heard that name before ?)
good you have made definite steps in the right direction.
i started studying with witnesses about 21 months ago.
started going to meetings in march 2017, went to the memorial and attended my first convention.
i love it.
allyson--why are you exTROLLing the watchtower?
